Felder Felder A/W 2012

The Felder Felder Autumn/Winter 2012 collection was a show of two halves, one offering geological inspired digital prints in mineral, earthy tones and the other offering true Felder Felder style at it's best. Sisters Dani and Annette Felder continually inspire with their trend focused vision and ability to offer a super cool, grunge-glamour look with lashings of sex appeal no matter what the season...

Blush chunky knits met gold embroidered swimwear and metallic leather skater skirts, while oversized outerwear in leather and shearling came in slate, navy and black boyfriend shapes. Flashes of eveningwear were offered in sheers, slimline dresses and decorative embroidery, all paired with major gold platformed suede peep toe ankle boots. Such a stylishly covetable and highly wearable collection; a great start to London Fashion Week.

Theyskens Theory A/W 2012

Oliver Theyskens stole my heart with his Theyskens Theory Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. A perfect balance of delicate and elegant tailoring, a feminine silhouette and ultra cool style with an underlying urban vibe throughout. Matte leather hotpants were styled with distressed denim, unstructured jackets and platform boots, while lurex dresses and floor length chiffons were casually paired down with slubby loose knits, oversized outerwear and luxe leather accessories. Super sheer tights and delicate chiffon skirts allowed for a top heavy collection, with a big focus on outerwear in tweed, fur and leather. A perfectly wearable collection of both style and substance. Stunning.

Tommy Hilfiger A/W 2012

Tommy Hilfiger offered the 'Town and Country Girl' for Autumn/Winter 2012 at New York last week. Set on a Maple tree lined red-bricked runway, the show offered a nostalgic Sixties military vibe with double breasted coasts, houndstooth prints and equestrian riding boots. Oxblood red and deep aubergine shades ruled the runway in leather, tweed, mohair and velvet, all accessorised with luxe leather goods, printed silk neckerchiefs and riding hats. The showstopper though, has to be the incredible Mary Quant-esque patent double breasted trench coat... I love the modern playful take on such a well explored trend.

Helmut Lang A/W 2012

Helmut Lang is always a show I look forward to from the New York Fashion Week line up, with his artistic background Lang always offers creativity and a strong design aesthetic in his collections. This season was no different. Showcasing a stunning display of texture and modern tailoring, the effortlessly cool Autumn/Winter 2012 collection was understated, chic and highly wearable; A slim lined silhouette featured clean cut blazers mixed with wax treated denim, while second-skin leather was accessorised with fur detailed jackets and thigh high suede boots.

Jason Wu A/W 2012

Jason Wu kicked off New York Fashion Week with a feline flourish, marking the beginning of a modern military look which is set to continue throughout the entire season. Leather trench coats held oversized fur collars and super cinched waists, while metallic brocade prints were present in Mandarin cut out dresses and restricting military style jackets. Showing glimpses of inspiration from his Chinese heritage, Wu offered an ultra modern, sleek femme fatale statement for Autumn/Winter 2012, styled with studded leather accessories, blacked out circle frames and super high ponytails; the collection screams bond girl chic. Love it!
