This month, pay day meant one thing - a long overdue trip to my local MAC store. My last beauty splurge had been quite some time ago, so this was an exciting shopping trip to say the least. And with a wishlist as long as my arm, I came out feeling very satisfied without having completely destroyed my bank balance - at least that's what I've been telling myself!
Starting with the base, I picked up MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance. This is one of my must-have products for a number of reasons. It's one of the nicest primer formulas I've used, it's really light and doesn't clog my skin like I've found some other primers do. It also contains gold toned illuminating pearls to help brighten and warm dull or tired skin - my morning savior! At £28 for 50ml this bottle lasts quite a while - I find that one pump is enough to cover my whole face.
Moving onto foundation, I picked up Studio Fix Fluid, a medium-buildable coverage foundation that lasts around 8 hours. I've been experimenting with a handful of different foundations recently, but this one is perfect for eveyday, and one that I always seem to come back to. It doesn't feel too heavy or dry my skin out and it still offers a really natural, flawless finish. Next up the concealer; I've been using MAC Studio Finish Concealer for as long as I've worn make-up. I honestly can't remember life without it. It's a really heavy duty concealer that quite literally covers all matter of sins, which is why I love it. Plus it's really long lasting, needing only minimal touch ups throughout the day.
Last one on the wish list was the MAC Liquid Eyeliner. Most of you will know I'm a massive fan of liquid eyeliner, and I've probably tried almost every liquid liner out there, but this one was a new venture for me. It's a lovely product, very similar to Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Liner, although it's a much smoother application and it doesn't crack throughout the day. The only negative thing I've found with this product is that it tends to smudge onto my upper eyelids after a few hours wear, although I'm hoping a little bit of eyeshadow primer will prevent this from happening.
So overall a little bit of a naughty shopping trip but a successful one to say the least. What are some of your favourite products from MAC?
