Last weekend Tom and I headed out to dinner at the Forbury, a stunning boutique townhouse hotel in the center of Reading. As soon as you arrive you’re instantly welcomed with incredibly high ceilings and a breathtaking 86,000 Italian bead chandelier. Head down the marble staircase, just past the grand piano and you’ll find the Cerise, a stylish cocktail bar and restaurant named after it’s unique pink interior.
Having almost finished another round of cocktails we eventually decided to order. The food arrived shortly after, effortlessly well presented and equally delicious. After finishing three courses of incredible food we retired to the bar area and ended the evening with a bottle of sparkling wine, chatting about our future and how, one day, we’ll travel the world. The atmosphere is so relaxed, you find yourself slipping into the plush brocade armchairs as if you’re already back in the hotel room.
It was, without a doubt, the perfect end to a lovely weekend.
