The Off-Duty White Shirt

DIY Ripped Jeans Ripped Jeans, White Shirt Black Ripped JeansSeptember is one of my favourite months of the year; having an interest fashion means I've always got excited over the new season... plus we all know that the winter months are much more fun when it comes to clothing. So when this year's Vogue September Issue landed on my just-hoovered doormat, I started thinking about my autumn/winter wardrobe and making the refreshing transition into fall.

I'm loving the Office Satorialist trend that's been huge throughout spring/summer - think monochrome, structured silhouettes and clean cut tailoring. With that in mind I've been building my autumn/winter wardrobe around a few statement pieces, starting with the classic white shirt.

Working in an office means I tend to dress quite smartly, however being in such a creative environment also means I'm able to be fairly creative with what I wear day-to-day. So I decided to take an off-duty approach to the classic white shirt, matching it with a pair of black ripped jeans that I've been lusting over for months. The distressed denim paired with the delicate lace bralet under the blouse gives it the perfect balance, while the heels prevent me from feeling too masculine. As ever, I've been completely minimalist with accessories... a combination as classic as jeans and a white shirt doesn't need to be overcomplicated.
