April is always one of my busiest and favourite months of the year. There's something about the beginning of Spring that feels like a fresh start, especially when it comes to beauty. So this month I had a HUGE clear out and picked a couple of the products that made the cut.
First is the Barely Hard Definer Sponge. I’ve only recently got on board with a beauty blender, and while I’m really enjoying using it to apply my base I find it’s not always as accurate as I’d like when it comes to adding detail. After a bit of research I decided to try the Barley Hard Definer to see how it fared in comparison - complete game changer! The angled edges make getting into the under eye area so much easier, and it doubles up as guide for the perfect winged liner.
Another beauty tool that I've found myself reaching for this month is the Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek brush. My Zoeva brushes in general are very well loved but this angled brush has become a firm favourite. I’ve recently switched from a cream contour to a powder and this brush is perfect for defining and enhancing all of the right areas.
Next up is the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Primer, this stuff is like summer in a bottle! I recently heard Charlotte explain that supermodel Gisele Bündchen was her muse for this product, giving that natural golden, healthy glow in seconds. It's formulated with light diffusers which give instant radiance, while hyaluronic acid works to keep the skin hydrated throughout the day. I can't wait to use this throughout summer when my skin is slightly more bronzed.
Keeping on the bronze theme, I recently picked up one of the L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadows in Golden Nude 204. I've got lots of bronze and gold toned eyeshadow palettes but I was looking for something with a bit of sparkle and this is definitely that. It has a lovely, creamy texture and the gold pearlescent finish works perfectly at brightening the inner eye area.
And finally, the Olaplaex Hair Perfector No.3. I raved about this product last month and it has continued to impress. I've actually got Lydia Elise Millen to thank for this one, it was after seeing it in her March Favourites that I felt the need to try it myself - her hair is the dream! Essentially it's a weekly hair treatment that helps repair the damaged bonds caused by colouring and heated styling. I’ve been using it once a week for the last month and my hair has been completely transformed. I don't know why I didn't try it sooner?!
