The Glow Getters

Glowy Makeup Routine
Glowy skin is something I always try to achieve. No matter what time of year, I love my skin to look and feel radiant without having to compromise on coverage. These six beauty products are my current go-to's for achieving that natural but flawlessly glowy look in minutes.

First up is the base. I raved about the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation earlier this year, and having tried a number of foundations since then, I've found myself going back to this every time. It's a lovely lightweight foundation, but with surprisingly good coverage. Applied with a damp beauty blender, my skin is left concealed and illuminated but still breathable. For me the coverage is just enough, so I usually skip concealer and move onto brightening under my eyes with the YSL Touche Éclat, which, I'm sure needs no introduction. It's a saviour when it comes to covering dark circles and more recently I've been using it as a highlighter too.

To warm everything up, and pretend like I still have that holiday glow (I don't), I've been using the Chanel Tan De Soleil bronzer. Another beauty classic, this light cream-gel bronzer is perfect for warming up the skin without mattifying the base. I apply this to the highest points on my face, using a little more on the hollows of my cheeks for a light contour. I also take a little bit of this into the crease of my eye for a lovely sunkissed glow.

NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator
Now for the important part - highlighter! You can't achieve a natural glow without a good highlight. While I have a couple of all time favourites, I've recently been using the NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator in Gleam. It's a lovely creamy consistency and has a really impressive staying power, considering the price. Granted it doesn't have the payoff that some powder highlights offer, but it feels and looks a lot more natural. Plus, the rose gold tint means I don't have to worry about blush. I've been applying it with my ring finger, then blending everything out with the Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush for a more natural finish.

To complete the look I've been using my trusty Rosie for Autograph Liquid Liner. The ultra fine tip makes it really easy to achieve the perfect winged liner. And last but not least is the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. I appreciate I'm about 18 months late to the party on this one but I'm so fussy when it comes to mascara that I very rarely get caught up in new launches. I received this sample from Benefit last month, so thought I'd give it a go. Now I'm kicking myself that I didn't try it sooner! It lifts and elongates my lashes without looking heavy or clumpy. I'll definitely be repurchasing this in the next few months!
